This is a Project car that comes with TWO (2) cars : (1) A New Old Stock Replacement1988 328 Chassis With a blank vin number (I was told by state of Indiana that once the car is finish. The car would be inspected and give it a new 2009 vin number) (You will need to check with your state as to your requirements) (I thought I would have to use the title from the 1981 burned out cars title. They told me NO. They do it like when a motorcycle has been wrecked and has a bent frame..when the frame is replaced a new Vin is issued) a. The replacement 1988 frame from the factory has the rear quarterpanels and tail light panels installed. It has been painted Corsica Red and the frame ferrari black by a professional painter with 3 part epoxy. these do not come with a front window frame so I cut the old front window frame from the burned 308 car and is fitted but not welded yet. (held in place by targa roof) I have also cut out and fitted the dash panel from the 308 to the 328 b. Parts I have purchased for the Chassis : Complete LH and RH used doors from a 308 that need some body work but are fixable A complete targa top roof A New Old Stock Replacement front end (Fenders) I have a 328 LH and RH cut section that is missing a part of the front nose… And a one piece top from a 308(no fenders) I have a complete set of 328 tires and rims (wheels) A new old stock Ferrari front windshield The LH and RH louver window covers for the quarter windows I have some interior items from a white 328 for this that needs cleaned such as door panels, cups (do not have the seats) I have the front winshield inside trim . bothe LH, RH and top with sun visors (all black) It comes with a 308 aluminum front hood. needs very slight body work (like someone shut the hood with a wrench in the front gap ) It comes with a complete 328 rear deck lid. only needs minor body work also. I have a set of used black carpet for this. (1) 1981 308 Targa top Ferrari That is burned up and is and was used for parts for the project including window frame , floor boards, and misl brakets and parts. It is to be used for the suspension. I have removed most of the susension, spindles, hubs, brakes (in large assemblies) to begin cleaning to be put onto the 328 chassis it has no doors, hoods , valences , bumpers. It has a title that was never converted to a salvage title. (was self-insured) PROJECT OBJECTIVE I was going to use Fiero parts to do things such as the electrical system, heating system, A/C and maybe even the motor transaxle. I no longer kept the fiero around ( I sold for scrap more than I paid for it, it was not worth the hassle of moving) You can find junk ones all over the country for $50.00 – $500.00 NOT INCLUDED : REFERECE ONLY : I already own a finished 328 Baby GTO Ferrari that I installed a Ford 418ci twin turbo motor in with a pantera transaxle. So anything is possible and engine combos. I thought a 1990 V6 SHO or a new 2010 twin turbo SHO motor and transaxle would be a good fit. Kennedy Bellhousings make all kinds of adapters to install Ford, Chevy ??? motors behind misl transaxles. MISSING ITEMS: You will need: Some sort of Engine and Transaxle (see above for suggestions) LH, RH Headlight bucket assemblys Front and Rear Valences and bumpers (I was going to use aftermarket GTO valences) Seats , Seat belts , Rear Glass, and 2 quarter windows (was going to use cheap race plexiglass) Steering wheel, and dash gauges, rework dash covering, Brake and clutch petals , lines( was going to use race petals with balance bar) The rear shocks and springs will need to be replaced and the hub bearings rebuilt (new brgs)(seals)(bushings)
